<In the garden birds teach us to sing their song and wild animals allow us to step in their silence>
Zhana Pencheva: "I want to research a dancing place where trust can emerge as a result of common care. I like to think of this place as a garden.
I want to use the imagery of a garden seen as a green, humid, juicy, mystical secret place of daring, dancing, caring, falling, touching, loving, exchanging, and healing. The etymology of the word gardening refers to enclosure. This is an area that one takes into their own responsibility and takes care of it. I wonder how through collective care we can construct a shared intimacy and sensitivity that will allow us to frame a delicate and pleasurable experience, a garden where we could grow fruitful plants and where we could bloom as spring flowers."
“Trust is a crucial part of the intimacy that yields pleasure for ourselves and others. Most likely you don’t know me, so whatever trust can exist between us will come from how well I can share and how much you can open yourself to what I share”.
